Impossible to say. Have you had the levels of thyroid hormone in your blood tested? How about your b12, iron, ferritin and d3.

It's not just a matter of taking a few levothyroxine tablets for some of us, everything else as to be right too.....

Get the results of any tests you have ever had and put them on here so people can work out what might be wrong.

Yes, the first thing is to get a copy of your thyroid gland blood tests complete with the ranges as labs differ and post here for someone to comment.

I looked at your profile but it doesn't give any thyroid history of when you were diagnosed. I note that 5 days ago your TSH level was 9.7, so I suspect you are newly diagnosed.

Can you say when you were diagnosed and how long you have been on levothyroxine as, if newly diagnosed, it does take a while to get to a proper dose which, hopefully, should relieve your symptoms.

Hypo means low or insufficient (not enough hormone) and with hypothyroidism your metabolism slows right down, that's why you are fatigued, if you take your temperature on waking, before you get out of bed, you will most likely have a temp below normal. Levo should increase your metabolism.

If your GP hasn't done so, get a B12, Vit D, ferritan, folate and iron blood tets, as often people are deficient in these vitamins and minerals.

hi e \Need tests and ranges, ranges vary at different Labs. Make sure you have been tested for TSH, T4 and Free T3, if T4 high and FT3 low you may well need some T3, it means you are probably not converting all the T4 to FT3, common. Also a lot of people benefit from T3 on a script too. If your FT3 is below the top of range. It does lower the TSH and helps a lot of symtoms including weight.

I hope that gives you some ideas.

Yes, there could be several things happening and without any other information to go on, you might ask yourself if you took enough time to get to that dose because each raise needs your body to adapt to it. Also, your body needs to change those 200 mcg. of T4 into usable T3, Some people don't handle that part well and need to use a T4/T3 medication. Or maybe you need another 25 mcg and that will be the magic number for you. I hope your GP will work with you and at least test your FT3 level if the other three options have been met.
