Can anyone please recommend a Private GP or Endo in the Oxford area? My Dr. and local Endo will not even discuss thyroid/adrenal issues.

This is because TSH is 'NORMAL'------even tho' Dr. P. has been saying differently for the past 6 years!

Hi I have a brilliant endo at Lemington Spa. She should be on "The list". If not or any queries send a PM. Click on pretend picture.

Hi Jackie

'The list' is Private GPs. :-)

Very short 'good' endo list is separate.

How frustating for you please do no give up. I had same issues had been treated for over 20 years on Levothyroxine but had never felt well and when I went throught menopuase five years on and developed chronic fatigue and fybromyalgia, still had all symptons of being hypothyroid despite taking meds I insisted on seeing a Endo at local Hosp who initially did not take much interest until I told him that my Father had had acromelegy and a piturity tumour as a result of not being treated with right meds (they had treated him with Lithium for years for said 'bipolar', so they started investigating, I had MRI scan which showed empty sellica and further tests showed I had very low cortisol levels throughout the day (synthacen intolerance test) I am now taking 25mg of steroids a day and endo agree that thyroid med do not work into cells whilst having adrenal problems, so working on symptons only to now get those right. Oh ! also discovered abnormal growth hormone is at 3.3, and nhs 'nice' guidelines are cut off at 3 for treatment so am awaiting for further testing. Moral to this story is they would never had started this investigation on a result of my TSH levels as they showed 'normal'. So please take note doctors and listen to patients symptons and act on these to instigate furher investigations. Take care and let us know the outcome please.
