I thought this blog link offered an excellent explanation about the illness when you can't find the words to explain yourself...

I think a lot of Hashi's patients ought to read this too. Then maybe they'll stop saying - and believing! - "oh, you can't blame everything on your thyroid..." Because you can!

I think I'll send this to my GP! I've had exactly those things said to me - even by my own mother - "you look ok" - "you can't expect to do the things you did 20 years ago" Yes I can I'm not that old yet...

This is a brilliant post, thank you for posting it, I too will print it off and send it to my endo.
There was another similar letter posted some time ago that talked about all the things the illness robbed you of, I didn't save it and haven't been able to find it since, don't suppose anyone remembers it?

I've made sure I've saved this one, it says so much so clearly, thanks for finding it and posting it.

Actually, this is a good description, mostly, of what it feels to have hypo without hashimoto's. Thanks. I will save and keep it.
